HR Reunion!

Last Friday, September 30, 2011, I had a dinner with my former HR friends at Gerry's Grill in Alabang Town Center. Actually, it was a treat from Euro and Gina Tabaniag. Gina, our former nurse whose family is now based in Ireland. It was a joyful reunion of old HR staff of Pricon.

Glenn, Marie and I were the first to arrive. We reached ATC at around 6PM. Since the rest are not yet around, we decided to walk around......and around......and around. Before we knew it, it was already 7:30PM and still, they're nowhere to be found!

Then, at around 8PM, there they come one by one. First, we saw Rhuvee, Aldrin and their daughters, Adriana and Annika. Then came Gina and Euro with their daughters (again), Eira and Eunice. We were already seated at Gerry's Grill when Azenith came with her 2 kids, Fiona and Matthew.

They haven't changed. Gina is still slim but Azenith is slimmer hehehe. Azenith, well, I call her Anette, is our former HR Clerk. They are now based in Thailand but they've been here in the country for three months since Fiona is studying here.

I want to share with you our group pics. Here they are :

Over all, it was a happy reunion. Too bad we are no longer complete..

September Birthday Bash!

This afternoon, we held our company birthday bash for our September birthday celebrators. This HR activity started April 2011, and since then, we’ve been receiving very nice comments from those who were able to attend. Maybe because every month, we make it a point to think of a theme that matches the month of celebration.

For this month, we thought of a “Silly Hat Party”. We encouraged all celebrators to “Bring your most silly hat and win a prize!” but unfortunately, only two brought their hats.
But our intelligent HRD minds anticipated that it will happen, so we made several silly hats to be used as accessories for the improvised photo booth. You will see them as you scroll on the pictures below.

We prepared 2 games for them to enjoy. First is the calamansi relay :

And the winner is....!!!

And second is….since I don't know how the game is called, I decided not to include it in this post. Mianhae.

And also last month, we invited a special guest to do the intermission number. His name is Dan Arvin Alcasid, nephew of Ogie Alcasid (whew!). For this month, this task was assigned to yours truly (ahem!). I sang two songs, my all time favorites Friend of Mine by Odette Quesada and I Think I’m In Love by Kuh Ledesma. After my 2nd song, they requested for “More! More!” but I begged off saying that I was paid for two songs only hahahaha

And since we have a Japanese expat in the group...

the person with the yellow hat is Mr. Toru Saito

I just thought of singing a Japanese song. Guess the title of the song?.....VOLTES V!!! Hahahahaha!

In this song, since this is an impromptu number and I have no music, I asked for audience's participation. You would see that they're clapping their hands as I sing. Nice hehehe

I was sooooooo happy with Mr. Saito’s reaction. He was saying “Very Good! Very Good!” with thumbs up sign….

Here are some of their group pics:

And not to forget, the blowing of their mini-cakes!

And of course, the crazy HR pics J

Maybe you noticed that we are wearing the same uniform always hehe. Well, good news! We are planning to buy a new set of uniform next month. So you won't be seeing the same old uniform again and again.

Ninong's Treat!

Last Friday, September 9, 2011, we (me, Mutya, Ethel, Marie & Tess) dined out at Shakey's in Checkpoint Calamba branch. It was a short but happy moment for us (well, at least for me).

Ethel, Marie Mutya and I arrived at around 5:00PM then Tess came around 6:00PM (whew! As usual, she's always late hehe)

This Shakey's thing is a treat from our beloved ninong, Jerry Antonio J. Flores, husband of our most loved HR manager and "mother" Lhiza Flores. He's not here in Manila. In fact, he now lives in Australia with his three princesses, Jeli, Jeza and Jea. Eversince ma'am Lhiza died, we never lost communication. We've always kept in touch. And we will forever be grateful that he has never forgotten us :)

Oh, enough of that reminiscing. I'd like to share some photos:

That's us! I'm sure you know them by now :)

Kim Hyun Joong's High Five Touch Event

Please forgive me for not posting for a long time. I was so excited about the High Five Event that I forgot to update my blog.

Speaking of THAT event, I was still ecstatic about the whole experience yesterday. Okay, let me begin my story:

I left home at 5:15 am, I reached Trinoma at 6:30 am and I was surprised that there was already a long line of people queueing at the entrance of the mall.

Some brilliant Triple S decided to write down the names of the people in line to avoid inserts in the queue as this oftentimes causes arguments. I was so happy because my efforts paid off! I was number 53! Here is my proof :

We were ushered inside the mall by the event security and staff of Astroplus at around 9:00am but the official selling of album started at 10am. Let me just point out that since I left home until I reached Trinoma, I haven’t eaten anything. As in NOTHING! So you can just imagine how hungry I am that day.

After buying the album, I thought we can loiter around the mall since we were told that the official time of entrance to the venue will start at 4:30 pm. But that did not happen! We formed another line since we were told that entrance to the venue will be on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. And because we wanted to get the best seat, we formed another line. That was around 11:00 am. Imagine, from 11:00 am till 5:00 pm, we stayed in line just to see him? Now I know the real meaning of being a Triple S! Oh before I forget, here is my Entry Pass and Touch Pass :

The Stage

The High Five Event that was supposed to be a “High Five” turned out to be a “High Five cum Handshake Event”.

Leader's hands are sooooo soft and soooooo smooth :)

Some clever TS managed to stole a hug from Leader, like this young lady named CL :

Lucky girl! I wish I hugged him too J

Leader thanking everyone who came to see him(I think hehe). We can hardly hear what he's saying because of the loud cheer from the crowd. All I can hear was his last word "Kamsahamnida" which means Thank You. I read later on from Liezle's blog, My Crazy Li'l Corner, that he talked about his plan to return to the Philippines for a concert :-)

Of course, the night won’t be complete without pictures with my sisterhood :

Marie, Mar, Ivee, Frelyn, Me, Chelly, Shiela and Lele

Lele, Abby, Joy, Shiela, Marie, Me and Ria

Joy, Shiela, Marie, Ivee, Ria and Me

As promised, here are additional two pics from Marie's camera. And it's just proper to give credit where it is due. I used SS501baby because that is her username at TSPH.

The Faceshop....Then and Now....

I saw this ad in the September 2006 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine....

To a koreanovela addict like me, he is a familiar face. He is Kwon Sang-woo, the male lead of the very popular koreanovela Stairway to Heaven. Oh by the way, I super love the themesong of this koreanovela. It's entitled Bogoshipda (I miss you) sang by Kim Bom Su.

Anyways, as we all know, Leader is now the endorser of The Faceshop.

This picture was taken at the Mall of Asia. But I already forgot when it was taken. Mianhae :(
